Form 1 - Application for work initiated by Utility companies

This application is to be completed if the work is initiated by a Utility company and is being completed on assets that are Utility owned only. Examples include work being completed on behalf of utility companies such as Enbridge, Hydro, Bell, Rogers etc.
Fees:
  • Application Fee: $107.14 + HST (Expedited fee: $375.76 if within 3 business days)
  • Temporary closure of Expressway: $58.61 + HST per 50 metre per lane per day
  • Temporary closure of Collector Road: $10.99 + HST per 50 metre per lane per day
  • Temporary closure of Minor Arterial Road: $58.61 + HST per 50 metre per lane per day
  • Temporary closure of Local Road: $3.66 + HST per 50 metre per lane per day
  • Temporary closure of Major Arterial Road: $58.61 + HST per 50 metre per lane per day

Form 3 - Application for work initiated by City Agencies and non-city organizations (not bundled with City projects)

This application is to be completed if the work is initiated by City of Toronto Agencies (e.g. TTC, Waterfront Toronto) or any other organizations including the following exclusions. If your work is bundled with a City initiated project, then please find the appropriate application. E.g. TTC work bundled with road reconstruction work being initiated by the City. This application excludes projects initiated by Metrolinx, the City, Developers and Utility companies. If you are performing work on behalf of Metrolinx, the City, a Developer or a Utility company, please find the appropriate application.

Form 4 - Application for work initiated by Metrolinx

This application is to be completed if the work is initiated by Metrolinx and is being completed on assets that are Metrolinx owned only. If this work is for Metrolinx and bundled with a City initiated project, then please select the appropriate form. Please ensure you have one of the following letters available for uploading before completing your application: 1. Exemption Letter 2. Metrolinx Corridor Development Permit 3. No Conflict Response Letter

This application is to be completed if the work is initiated by City of Toronto and is being completed on assets that are City owned or bundled. If the work consists only of transportation services assets, then please select the appropriate form.

RoDARS Form 1 CNIB Test

This application is to be completed if the work is initiated by a Utility company and is being completed on assets that are Utility owned only. Examples include work being completed on behalf of utility companies such as Enbridge, Bell, Rogers etc.

  • Temporary closure of Expressway: $40.71 + HST per 50 metre per lane per day
  • Temporary closure of Collector Road: $7.63 + HST per 50 metre per lane per day

Street Event

This RoDARS application is to be completed if a Street Event permit is required, if you are planning to temporarily close the street fully or partially to occupy a curblane, sidewalk or boulevard for a race, run, walk or festival.
The completed application with all required documents must be submitted prior to the event date at least:

  • 8 weeks for Local Road
  • 12 weeks for Collector Road
  • 16 weeks for Arterial Road
  • 52 weeks for Expressway

Warranty Form for ECS Work

For all warranty work, the Contractor is responsible for the full payment of RoDARS application fee and RoDARS temporary road closure fees. For more information on the applicable RoDARS fees, go to www.toronto.ca/rodars to better understand the impact of fees for potential warranty work. The application fee is paid online at the time of application submission and the temporary road closure fees will be invoiced to the Contractor after the approved RoDARS end date. The Contractor will not receive reimbursement from the City for these fees.
